Our last event- Bookfair & Origami event at Joseph-Beth Booksellers

Our third fundraising event has been confirmed, it will be a "bookfair" event.
Date: June 3rd (Fri) - 5th (Sun)
Location: Joseph-Beth Booksellers & Bronte Bistro Restaurant at Rockwood Pavilion, Hyde Park. Click HERE for store information & HERE for restaurant information.
折り紙プロジェクト第3回目のイベントの詳細です。
日時：6月3日(金)-5日(日)
場所：Joseph-Beth Booksellers & Bronte Bistro Restaurant
　　　　ハイドパーク　Rockwood Pavilion内にある書店とレストランです。

How it works:

1) Click HERE to download the coupon for printing.
　　
2) Bring it to the store between June 3-5th at ANYTIME. Make a purchase or dine in at Bronte Bistro restaurant (inside bookstore). At check out, present this coupon. Then 20% of your bookstore purchase and 10% in Bronte Bistro, will be donated back to Japanese Red Cross Society. (coupons will also be available at the checkout counters during the events)

                                              Saturday, 8:00 am to 10:00 pm
                                              Sunday, 9:00 am to 8:00 pm

Other activities include origami cranes giveaway and teaching how to fold origami craft from 11a.m to 2:30p.m on all three days.

This will be our last event of the fundraising project. We are so blessed to have so much support from the previous events. We hope to raise additional fund for the Japan relief effort. Let's do this together one more time. There is a long road for recovery in Japan, but with efforts, it will help so many people, give them hope for a better future.
これが当プロジェクト最後のイベントになります。
皆様からの大きなサポートに本当に感謝しています。

We are working on the advertisement flyer, it will be available for download very soon. To make this event successful, we need many people to make purchase in the bookstore during the three days event. Any amount could make a huge impact. So please start spreading the words. Flying Pig Marathon Expo

Last weekend was the annual Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon. A group of ladies who organized the upcoming Zumbathon Charity Event had set up a booth at the P&G Expo on Friday & Saturday. They were there promoting the Zumbathon event and raised money for the Japan relief effort. We had donated a bag of origami cranes for their event, and helped raise a total of $903.27. They wanted to thank everyone who helped preparing those origami cranes. 

年に一度開催されるシンシナティフライングピッグマラソン。

今月21日に行われるZumbathonイベントのプロモーションを兼ねて、

イベント主催グループの皆さんがマラソンExpo会場にて

日本に向けてのチャリティーイベントを開催しました。

当プロジェクトからも折り紙鶴を寄付させていただきました。

2日間での寄付金総額は$903.27という報告と、

折り紙ボランティアの皆さんにもご協力いただき感謝します、

というメッセージをいただきました。

3rd upcoming fundraising event at Joseph-Beth Booksellers

We are excited to announce that we will be having our 3rd fundraising event at the Joseph-Beth Booksellers in Norwood (Hyde Park area). Event will be at the beginning of June. More details will be available in a few weeks. Click HERE for store location.

3回目のイベント先がついに決定しました!

ハイドパーク地区、NorwoodエリアにあるJoseph-Beth Booksellersという書店になります。

開催時期は6月あたま、詳細は1,2週間の間に決定する予定です。

Easter Blessing

Happy Easter everyone......

For this holiday, just want to share with everyone a little thought-
As we are all enjoying the holiday with families & colorful easter eggs, my family had spent an hour watching the National Geographic Channel progam this morning. To some people, it's very difficult to watch those horrific footage again and again. My 3 year old son wasn't quite understood the incident, but he was watching quietly. At one point, he said "I don't like (watching) that", perhaps the enormous tsunami and the fire scenes made him uncomfortable. He choosed to watch the entire show with us, so as I let him.

復活祭の休日です。
人々が家族と過ごす時間やエッグハントを楽しむ中、
私達家族は今朝National Geographic Channelの一時間番組を観ました。
一部の方にはこの悲惨な震災の爪痕を何度も繰り返し見ることは
とても辛いものでしょう。
私の3歳の息子は今回の震災について完全に理解していたとは言えませんが
静かに一緒にテレビを見ていました。
一度、「これは好きじゃない」と言いましたが恐らく巨大な津波と火事の場面が
彼を嫌な気持ちにさせたのでしょう。
彼は私達と一緒に観ることを選びましたので、その気持ちを尊重しました。

It's been more than a month since the incident. As the people in disaster area slowly getting pieces of their lives back, as the tsunami and earthquake wreckage began to clear away, as our media coverage starting to fade.....these TV programs serves as a reminder of how blessed we are able to celebrate this holiday with our love ones at home.

大震災から1か月以上が経過しました。
被災地の人たちは少しずつですが日常を取り戻しつつあり
津波と地震により残されたがれきの山の片づけが進み
メディアの関心は日々薄れています。
このような番組は愛する家族たちと一緒に祝日を過ごせることが
どんなに幸せかを思い出させてくれます。

Yet, we should realize there are still so many people in Japan, trying to rebuild their home, searching & mourning for their love ones, struggling with their fears..... Only if we can continue our effort to help, perhaps we can provide them a little bit of hope & strength to move on.

まだ日本にはたくさんの人々が家を建て直そうとし、愛する家族を探し続け、
続く余震との恐怖と闘っていることを忘れてはいけません。
私たちが支援の努力を続ければ、少しでも被災地の方たちに希望と勇気を
与えられるはずです。

Thank you for your support. Hope we will be able to find our next project location soon, and contribute a little more with the leftover origami cranes.

Working in progress

Just wanted to give everyone a brief update- We are currently working on finding our 3rd fundraising event, which could be our last event of this whole project. We are still very passionate about this project, hope we can find the right venue to do this. As soon as we have more information, we will post here and let everyone know. Thank you for your patience and support.
